Personalized Advising Packages
Designed for Your Unique Journey
We don’t believe in offering a “standard package” of services to every applicant, because we know that each applicant is unique and may not fit into the “standard package” mold. At Archimedes Advising, we pride ourselves in offering personalized advising packages that best address the wants, needs, and budget of our clients.
We offer everything from hourly bundles for short-term advising or addressing the occasional challenge, to long-term comprehensive packages in which our highly-experienced team walks the client through the application process, step-by-step.
The Biographical Sketch
All of our long-term advising relationships begin with our unique biographical sketch (biosketch), which is not time-constrained and generally takes as few as two and as many as ten-plus hours to complete. During these biosketch sessions, Dr. Dobiszewski and other members of our team meet with the applicant to identify and discuss the influences, events, activities, relationships, etc. that have influenced the applicant’s development, both personally and as a future physician. Particular emphasis will be paid to the applicant’s emotional motivation to pursue a career in medicine.
Our experience is that the most competitive applicants are the ones who can authentically articulate their heartfelt, emotional reasoning for pursuing a career in medicine in their applications. By taking the time to understand this reasoning, as well as any other events that have helped shape their lives, our time is ideally positioned to help the applicant tell their story in a way that will resonate with admissions committees. While the biosketch is a time-consuming and sometimes difficult task, we believe that it is absolutely vital to our advising success!
