Kyle F. Dobiszewski, Ph.D.

Kyle F. Dobiszewski, Ph.D. is an educator, biomedical engineer, and former BS/MD program director who founded Archimedes Advising in 2024 to help demystify the BS/MD application process for applicants and parents alike. He has been involved with BS/MD admissions for over a decade as an undergraduate admissions committee member, undergraduate program director, and admissions consultant. After completing his doctoral degree in biophysics and biomaterials engineering in 2013, Dr. Dobiszewski was invited to join the BS/MD undergraduate admissions committee at his alma mater. Four years later, he was recruited to the position of Associate Director of the NJIT Honors College responsible for management of accelerated pre-health and pre-law programs. In this role, he led the undergraduate admissions committees and was otherwise responsible for all undergraduate admissions tasks for accelerated (7-year) BS/MD programs at two U.S. (LCME-accredited) medical schools: Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) and Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU), and two foreign medical schools: Saint George’s University (SGU) and American University of Antigua (AUA). In addition, he managed admissions to the BS/DMD program with Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM), the BS/OD program with SUNY College of Optometry, the BS/DPT program with Rutgers School of Health Professions, among others. In the latter half of 2021, with the COVID-19 pandemic raging, Dr. Dobiszewski chose to return to industry as an engineer at a fluidics company serving the medical diagnostics industry. While this work was important in the battle against the pandemic, Dr. Dobiszewski soon realized that he missed the satisfaction of helping young adults realize their life goals. As a result, Dr. Dobiszewski began mentoring and advising BS/MD applicants through the r/bsmd community on Reddit. An explosion of interest in his BS/MD admissions advising led Dr. Dobiszewski to establish Archimedes Advising in 2024 to formalize his consulting services. As a former program director who has seen the inner workings of BS/MD admissions, he is considered to be among the most knowledgeable BS/MD admissions consultants out there!
